Dr. Bryce Peckham has been hired by the Kentucky Horse Racing Commission on an interim basis to fill the role of chief veterinarian, which was left vacant after Dr. Lafe Nichols tendered his resignation late last week.
An article on herald-leader.com states that Dr. Peckham has been the chief racing vet for the Kansas Racing and Gaming Commission for the last 12 years.
The report also states that the KHRC will be conducting a national search for permanent replacement for Dr. Nichols.
