Just Plug It In and driver Anthony MacDonald ruled the seven-horse field in this evening's $15,000 Preferred Pace at Kawartha Downs setting a new lifetime mark in the process.
As the gates swung open, Just Plug It In fired straight to the front posting panels of :27.4, :56.3 and 1:23.4. The 3-5 post time favourite who went unchallenged throughout the Kawartha Classic Pacing Series event paced home in :28 for the 1:51.4 score.
With Anticipation (Sylvain Filion) finished one and a half lengths back in second and Junior K (Doug Brown) finished third.
The four-year-old gelding out of Artiscape notched his 10th lifetime win, boosting his earnings to $157,218. He is trained by Duane Marfisi for Alan Alber of Thornhill, Aaron Waxman of Brantford and the PSHL Stable of Carlisle, Ont.
