Invitro To Tara Hills Stud

Invitro's owner, Gord Irwin, told Trot Insider that he dropped his seven-year-old Camluck mare off at Tara Hills Stud this morning.

Invitro, a winner of 35 career races and over $2.38 million purses, was retired by Irwin after the eliminations for the Milton Stakes, which took place September 20 at Mohawk Racetrack.

"One of my main concerns for her retirement was that she was going to a top farm where she would receive a dignified retirement," Irwin told Trot Insider.

"With Tara Hills Stud being her new home, I am 100 per cent reassured that she will get the greatest treatment possible. Invitro will be managed by the accomplished David Heffering, whose polished reputation in this department speaks for itself."

Irwin said that he hasn't sold Invitro and that he isn't entertaining offers for her.

"Invitro will be bred to top stallions in North America," Irwin told Trot Insider. "One option we have is to have her bred to Somebeachsomewhere, but only if the pedigrees match and Hanover [Shoe Farms] accepts her."
