Winning races was the name of the game for Marc St. Louis Jr. on Thursday evening, as the young sulky sitter registered five wins during Hiawatha Horse Park's 11-race program.
Despite being kept off the score sheet for the first three dashes, St. Louis put on a clinic from that point on.
He crushed the competition in Race 4 with Tymal Triton (1:57.1) and made a round trip to victory lane thanks to an easy score with Six Pack Summer (1:56.1) in Race 5.
An off-the-pace triumph with Little Miss Ivy (1:55) in Race 7 gave him the hat trick, but he was far from finished. He clicked with M And M Connection (1:54.3) in Race 9 and came right back in Race 10 with Call City Hall (1:58).
After winning four races in his rookie season and three races in his sophomore season, St. Louis broke out with a 116-win campaign in 2007 while building up purse earnings of $420,258.
He currently finds himself in the midst of his best season by virtue of 185 wins and purse earnings in excess of $776,000.
