A trio of $12,000 Distinction divisions for three-year-old pacing colts and geldings highlighted this afternoon's seven-race program at the Hippodrome Gatineau, and it turned out to be a good day for geldings.

At His Best rallied to a 1:58 victory in the opening tilt for trainer Tom Shay and driver Sylvain Filion. The time for the mile was 1:58.

The son of Pearl River Matt used a :30-second final quarter to seal the deal over runner-up Bluehill Cami (Mario Charron) and third-place finisher C L Eighty (Marcel Barrieau).

It was the second lifetime score for the career winner of $16,840, who is owned by Pennsylvania partners Howard Taylor and Judith Taylor.

Hitouch Emotion bolstered his already impressive record thanks to a 1:57.1 triumph in the second division. The son of High On Emotion now boasts a 5-2-2 record in his first nine starts for owner Mario Martin of Farnham, QC.

Stephane Brosseau used off-the-pace tactics to register the win with the Benjamin Paquette trainee, who easily fended off second-place finisher En Katimini (Pascal Berube) and Mort Gudnick MD (Guy Gagnon), who rounded out the top three.

Tresor Angus front-stepped his way to a 1:58.3 victory in the final affair, winning for the duo of trainer Jacques Dupont and driver Stephane Gendron.

The son of Blissfull Hall, who is owned by Fermes Angus Farms of Bedford, QC, held on for the narrow score over Felix BG (Stephane Brosseau). Godiva Speedway (Sylvain Filion) rounded out the Triactor ticket.
