Giosc Du Vivier, who formerly raced at Mohawk and Woodbine Racetrack, will lead the post parades on the Saturday, September 13 card from Mohawk, which will feature the $1 million Canadian Trotting Classic.
A French-bred 14-year-old, Giosc Du Vivier will be driven by his owners Lloyd and Carolyn Nugent. The chestnut gelding earned $370,632 over the course of his career and is now a Canadian Road Horse champion.
Road horses are exclusively standardbred trotters.
The Canadian Road Horse Association is a non-profit organization formed in 1970 to promote this alternative use of standardbreds.
