GetSulky.com Winner Announced

Candice Youngdale is going to Mohawk Racetrack on Sunday night. Unlike the rest of us, she’s a guaranteed winner.

When she and her entourage step out of the limo, an unmasked man will hand them $2,000 and endeavor to award them an additional $8,000 throughout the night.

Not exactly your typical night at the races.

Youngdale is the winner of Dawg’s Big Bet – the premiere contest at GetSulky.com. The ultimate night at the races includes limousine transportation from Youngdale’s residence in Haliburton, ON, plus dinner, tours and full VIP treatment.

She and her three guests will each be paired with a betting mentor to guide their handicapping prowess. A total of $10,000 in wagering is available to the foursome, who will actually go toe-to-toe for the largest cut of the prize.

Youngdale, 45, is a relative newcomer to the races. However, her basic racing knowledge is intact thanks to GetSulky’s horse racing game, Trackside. The interactive application teaches users the simple starts of wagering and racing. Youngdale’s mastery of the game is what qualified her for Dawg’s Big Bet and the ultimate night at the races.

Photos and video of Youngdale’s experience will be posted online at GetSulky.com’s website following her excursion on Sept. 14.

The GetSulky.com website was created by LAUNCH! for the Ontario Harness Horse Association, on behalf of the Standardbred Revenue Allocation (SRA) Marketing Committee. The SRA is responsible for administering funding from the Horse Improvement Program towards provincial programs that create new racing fans and new horse owners while promoting Ontario harness racing.
