Camdassiana took the first split in a time of 1:57.4 for trainer Mark Winacott, who had a three-win day, and driver Gord Brown, who reined in four winners over the course of the card.

The three-year-old Northern Luck miss held on to win by three-quarters of a length in a time of 1:58. Oppies Best, who was sent off as the 3-5 favourite, was second best and Ashtreos tagged along to round out the top three.

Money River found herself parked past the quarter pole in :28.2 before touching down on the lead. Once she took command, it was lights out for everyone else.
