Forward Takes Six At Woodstock

Brad Forward was a winning machine at Woodstock Raceway on Tuesday as noted in his six-win performance on the 12-race program.

He overcame a Post 7 start to take the opener with the two-year-old Intrepid Seelster filly Splashedbycourage in a time of 2:00.4 before notching a natural hat trick in Races 3 thru 5.

Miss Heineken (1:58.1), Titan Spur (2:02.3) and Certain Celebrity (2:00) gave him the three consecutive trips to victory lane, and they bumped his daily win total to four.

He guided Iseerightthrough U to a 1:57.2 score in Race 7, and came right back to the winner's circle in Race 8 following Fairview Art's 1:59.1 triumph.

Forward has put together an impressive 2008 record which includes 280 victories and purses earnings of close to $1.7 million.

In other Tuesday happenings, Emmas Desire survived a first-over trip to take home top prize in the featured $15,000 Fillies & Mares Preferred Pace.

The six-year-old Presidential Pride miss halted the teletimer in 1:57.2 for driver Jason Gale, who guided the Shawn Robinson trainee to her 25th lifetime win. Jeff Rusnak of Lasalle and Julie Robinson of Jarvis, ON share ownership on the winner of $118,245.
