The winner's circle has become a second home in recent weeks for claiming pacer Showmethefame, who front-stepped to his fifth consecutive victory on Thursday evening at Woodbine Racetrack.
The four-year-old son of Apaches Fame sprinted through fractions of :27.1, :56 and 1:23.4 before kicking home in :27.4 en route to a new lifetime mark of 1:51.3.
Mark MacDonald engineered the winning trip with Showmethefame, who knocked off race favourite Baccarat Stena and Nocturnal.
Trainer Casie Coleman shares ownership on the photogenic gelding with Ken Fraser of Ayr, ON. It was the 11th win of the season for the 16-time winner, who now boasts a $122,987 bankroll.
