Filly Parade At Inverness

After Sunday's card at Inverness Raceway was forced into cancellation mode due to inclement weather, the stakes-laden program was carried over to earlier this afternoon.

The half-mile oval, which was anything but fast due to poor weather in the region, hosted four divisions of Atlantic Sires Stakes divisions for two-year-old pacing fillies.

Larshegoes took the first of two "A" divisions for the duo of trainer Clare MacDonald and driver Kenneth MacDonald in a time of 2:06.4. The Largo miss hauled down pacesetter Woodmere Blackrose in the closing strides in the two-filly affair.

Her share of the $8,320 purse bumped the homebred's bankroll to $22,698 for owners George & Earith Riley of Kensington, PEI.

Team MacDonald clicked with Elleofnxample in the second "A" split, thanks to the filly's eye-catching clocking of 2:01. The N Xample miss drew off to win by more than three-lengths over Oceanview Kitty. P H Quick Chick finished third.

It was the second lifetime score for the youngster, who bumped her lifetime earnings to $6,885 for partners Clare MacDonald, John Haley, Morah Kerr and Phonsie McEachern of Nova Scotia.

N Xample Deal gave sire N Xample his second stakes winner on the card thanks to her 2:04.4 score in the first of two $2,500 "B" divisions for freshmen filly pacers.

Greg Bailey engineered the gate-to-wire triumph with the Patrick Murphy trainee, who pulled off the 12-1 upset over JK Neville and Elm Grove Destiny. Molly Murphy of Borden Carleton, PEI holds the papers on the youngster.

Papas Little Rose took the other $2,500 "B" division in a time of 2:06 for driver Ryan Campbell and owner/trainer Ronald Seymour of Glace Bay, Nova Scotia.

It was the second win in just three starts for the daughter of Sea Gull Hershey, who defeated Outrageous Rose and Out To Pass.
