Yonkers Raceway has drawn divisions of the New York Sire Stakes Mike Cohen Trot, to be raced Monday, August 25 over the half-mile oval.

First race post time for the 13-dash card is 7:40 p.m., with the quartet of freshman filly sire stakes events going as Races 4, 5, 6 and 8. The first two divisions carry a purse of $48,941, with the next two ringing in at $49,841.

The evening's festivities honour the memory of Yonkers' (and NBC Sports) former Public Relations director.

Shes So Savvy (PP#, H. Okusko Jr.) drew into the third division, bringing with her two consecutive open-length wins in the NYSS. The daughter of Malabar Man, trained by Jessica Okusko for Purple Haze Stables, rolls in fresh from a life-best 1:58.4 effort at Tioga Downs.

The evening's final Cohen contest shapes up as a catfight between Contag Way (PP1, J. Stark Jr.) and Beachcomber (PP2, Jan Johnson). Both are daughters of Conway Hall.

Contag Way, trained by Stark for longtime successful sire stakes owners Ed and David Smith, has three wins and a second in her five '08 tries.

Beachcomber, trained by Johnson for Arden Homestead Stable and Adelaide Skoglund, has won the times in her four seasonal starts.

The first of the NYSS divisions is led by Sister Marcy (PP4, B. Allen), while the second event finds Porque (PP1, S. Bouchard) as the early choice.
