Deweycheatumnhowe To Stand At Walnut Hall

Walnut Hall Ltd. announced today that Deweycheatumnhowe 3, 1:50.4 ($3,107,112) will stand at its Lexington, Kentucky location beginning with the 2009 breeding season.

The announcement was made by Alan J. Leavitt, president of Walnut Hall Ltd., which is owned by his wife, Meg Jewett.

Deweycheatumnhowe's fee will be $25,000, and his book will be strictly limited to 140 mares.

'Dewey' was undefeated as a two-year-old. As a freshman, the Muscles Yankee colt recorded ten wins, banked $922,535 and took a mark in 1:54.2 over the Red Mile oval in Lexington. His most notable wins in 2007 came in the New Jersey Sires Stakes finals, Bluegrass, International Stallion Stakes, Valley Victory and Breeders Crown.

The bay has been top of his class this year at three, most notably having captured the $1.5 million Hambletonian, the Dancer Memorial, World Trotting Derby, Canadian Trotting Classic, Bluegrass and most recently the Kentucky Futurity. Deweycheatumnhowe's seasonal earnings currently stand at $2,184,587.
