Undefeated Hambletonian winner Deweycheatumnhowe has drawn in along with seven others to contest the $565,000 World Trotting Derby Saturday, August 30 at the DuQuoin State Fair in Illinois.

'Dewey' has drawn a Post 5 assignment, and his trainer Ray Schnittker will again be guiding the Muscles Yankee colt. The 2-1 morning line favourite will be looking to notch his 17th consecutive victory.

Dewey's test in the World Trotting Derby will be his first since capturing the $1.5 million Hambletonian August 2 at the Meadowlands Racetrack.

When Schnittker was asked about trying to set a new world trotting speed mark -- Tom Ridge did it at Du Quoin in 2005 -- he said: "Nobody cares about records. I just want to get the win and come out of it good. I'll probably leave out of there a little bit and try to get a good trip for my horse."
