Bill Davis scored four training wins on Saturday night at Fraser Downs including one with Follow Your Rosa in the $17,000 Fillies & Mares Open Pace.
Davis and Follow Your Rosa shot to the lead from Post 1, forcing B Bar Marilyn (Tim Brown) to settle in second. The four-year-old mare posted opening panels of :27 and :56.4 before B Bar Marilyn took a shot at the pacesetter, but Follow Your Rosa maintained the lead as the field passed the third quarter station in 1:24.4. In the stretch, the field closed in on the bay, but she managed to hang on by half a length for the win in 1:53.3.
Lil Kim (James Burke) closed well for second and B Bar Marilyn was third.
The daughter of The Panderosa, who is owned by Niele Jiwan of Burnaby, B.C, picked up her eighth seasonal win and 17th lifetime victory and lifted her bankroll to $113,998.
Davis also picked up wins in the card's opener with Upbid Hanover (1:58.4), in Race 4 with Canaco Nolton (1:53.4) and in Race 9 with Swaled (1:54.2). The Langley, B.C. resident has had 111 wins this season and 2,858 in his career.
