Dakota Noc had an eight-race win streak snapped in a disappointing road trip to Rideau Carleton Raceway on September 11, but he was quick to bounce back in Tuesday's $38,500 Elite Stake for two-year-old pacing colts and geldings at Sulky Trois-Rivieres.!--break-->

The son of Pearl River Matt wasted no time in establishing the lead for Hall-of-Fame handler Jacques Hebert, who rolled the rookie through splits of :29, 1:00.3 and 1:30.2 before kicking home in :29.3 en route to the 2:00 decision.

Sent off as the 1-5 favourite, Dakota Noc easily turned back runner-up Faucon Stena and third-place finisher Sixxpak.

The youngster now boasts 11 wins in 14 starts for owner/trainer Paul Seguin of Gatineau, QC. The lion's share of the purse bumped his bankroll to $48,254.

Dakota Noc's Tuesday night triumph earned him a share of the North American record for wins by a freshman pacer. The other 11-time winners are Bell On Wheels and DVC Firm Believer.
