Curran, Leon Win Splits Of Mildred Williams

Windsor Raceway played host to the Mildred Williams International Women's Driving Series on Sunday evening, with a pair of divisions making up the first two races on the card.

Ann Curran drew first blood thanks to a 1:59.3 score behind The Upstart. The five-year-old gelded son of The Panderosa used his off-the-pace skills to notch the win over Seawind Fame (Ann Karin Larsen) and The Big Woof (Gro Formia).

Andrea Leon went coast-to-coast with King Dermot in the second division. The six-year-old son of Albert Albert laid down panels of :27.2, :57 and 1:27.4 en route to the 1:59.2 score over Seventh Evan (Gro Formia) and Fearless Seelster (Honora Wulf).

Next stop for the Series will be a trip to Western Fair Raceway on Friday, October 17. Kawartha Downs will host the drivers on Saturday, October 18.

The Sunday feature at Windsor Raceway – the $7,200 Preferred 2 for pacers - Autobahn Deets turned in a coast-to-coast score in a time of 1:54 for driver Brad Kramer.

The eight-year-old son of Camluck rolled the field through panels of :26.4, :56.3 and 1:25.2 en route to the win for owner Fred Reitberger of Boca Raton, Florida. The Paul Holzman trainee defeated Multiple Choice and Stonehouse Evan.

It was the sixth win of the season and the 32nd lifetime score for Autobahn Deets, who boasts $228,136 in lifetime earnings.
