Sunday, August 24 at Clinton Raceway will be Fan Appreciation Day with first race post time at 1:30 p.m.
Radio station 101.7 The One and OLG Slots have teamed up with Clinton and are joining in all the fun!
Beginning at 12:30 p.m., Piller's will have the BBQ fired up. The first 200 patrons who purchase a program will receive a Free Piller's hot dog.
After each race, Clinton will be giving away Clinton Raceway gear and free ice cream. Clinton will also be holding a fish and chip dinner from 4:00 to 5:00 p.m. Tickets will be available at the marketing table Sunday or by calling Ashley at (519) 482-5204. A limited number of tickets are available.
Special Guest runner up of Canadian Idol Rex Goudie will be at the track to perform at 1:00 p.m. Also he will be sticking around for pictures and autograph signings all day.
The day will also mark the final day of Raceway Idol.
Three finalists will be competing for the title of Raceway Idol. Bill Ross of Brucefield, Megan Finkbeiner of Hensall and Mike Frances of Seaforth will be competing after Races 3, 6 and 9. The Winner will receive $150 cash and tickets to Canadian Idol. Joe Carter from 101.7 The One will be hosting the Idol Competition.
