Marc Campbell enjoyed a very productive Canada Day at the office thanks to a five-win performance during today's matinee program at Summerside Raceway.
The Orwell, PEI horseman took the opener with a pacer from his own stable, Montorprim. The gelding rallied to a narrow win in a time of 2:01.2. He returned to victory lane with Boneires Bubba in Race 5 following that pacer's 1:59 triumph.
Lyndale Lover front-stepped her way to a 2:01.4 score in Race 7 to complete the hat trick for Campbell, who tacked on wins with Richards Thunder (1:59.3) in Race 9 and J C Riley (1:58.4) in Race 12 to complete the five-win performance.
Campbell, who put up career numbers for wins and earnings in 2007, has racked up 29 wins this season. He is on the verge of hitting the half-million mark in career earnings.
