George Brennan, sidelined with a broken wrist since the end of May, returned to the sulky for the first time on October 13, driving in seven races at Freehold Raceway.
His return to the races following a four and a half month stint on the sidelines included a victory in the eighth race with Shayna Baby. It was the 5,410th win of his career.
Brennan suffered a compound fracture of his right wrist in a racing accident on May 31 at Mohegan Sun at Pocono Downs while driving Dontloseyourdayjob.
Two surgeries were required to repair the damage in which both the radius and ulna were detached.
Entering Monday's Columbus Day card, Brennan, 41, of Perrineville, NJ, had in excess of $82 million in purse earnings. He had 151 wins from 1,000 starts and nearly $3.3 million in 2008 earnings at the time of his accident.
