A "Mind Boggling" Effort In Preferred

"target="blank"> Mind Boggling was first to the quarter pole and the first one to the finish line in Friday's $36,000 Fillies & Mares Preferred Pace at Mohawk Racetrack.

The four-year-old daughter of Cambest, who recently made her way North of the border and landed in the stable of trainer Darren McCall, chopped out a :26.3 opener for Jody Jamieson, who quickly released a backstretch-brushing Four Starzz Meliss to the engine.

That foe hung up big splits of :54.1 and 1:22 before her wheel started to wobble. At that point, Jamieson wheeled his ticket to victory lane to the outside for the stretch drive. She fended off a late challenge from Marnie Hall to win by a head in a time of 1:50.3. Invitro was third.

It was a career-best clocking for Mind Boggling, who is owned by Let It Ride Stables Inc. and Mentally Stable Inc. of Delray Beach, FL. The victory boosted her overall earnings to $349,044.
