Second went to Camco Lexie (Brodie MacPhee) with Fireball Friday (Myles Heffernan, Sr.) rounding out the top three.
Berts Legacy put together a 40-length victory in the $7,450 Maritime Breeders division for two-year-old trot fillies in line to Paul Lanigan for trainer William Lanigan and owner Robert Honkoop of Alliston in 2:07.2. Mr Finlay Ridge converted a pocket ride to victory in the $7,180 Maritime Breeders three-year-old colt trot division with a 2:01.2 win over Dusty Lane Milo (Gilles Barrieau) and A Little Go Go (Campbell). Clare MacDonald trains, drives and co-owns Mr Finlay Ridge with fellow Nova Scotia residents Arnold Rankin and Ian Tate.
