Bet You displayed intestinal fortitude during a fast trip and a tight finish winning the $14,000 Winners-Over pacing feature at Plainridge Park on Monday afternoon.

Tisadream N (Drew Monti) took the first lead off the gate and carried the race to the quarter in :26.3. There, Bet You (Kevin Switzer, Jr.) rolled up from mid-pack and took command as they moved in front of the stands and to the half in :54.

Bet You stepped on the gas in the third panel buzzing a :27.3 split and opening up a two-length advantage as they went around the final turn. Heading into the stretch Quick Shot (Drew Campbell), who had been sitting third most of the race, found room at the pylons and paced through the opening making up ground fast. Despite the rush, he came up a head short under the wire as Bet You hung on to win in 1:50.3, which tied his lifetime mark.

It was the 32nd lifetime win for Bet You ($5.40) and pushed his earnings over the half-million dollar mark, now with $504,612 banked. Scott Dillon owns and Joe Nelson trains.

In the $12,000 conditioned sub-feature, Biggie (Drew Campbell) sat second the whole mile letting Legal Power (Jay Randall) lug the mail until the head of the stretch where he pulled and delivered the winning blow by a neck in 1:52, which was a new seasonal mark.

The first trip to Plainridge this season garnered the sixth win of the year for Biggie ($19.20) who is owned by Michael Huff and trained by James Dunn.

The third leg of the $10,000 Nauset Light Series for two-year-old pacing colts was won by Han Solo (Kevin Switzer, Jr.) who went gate to wire to score his second win in a row in 1:54.1, tying his lifetime mark and the track record for two-year-old pacing colts he set just one week ago.

The Massachusetts Sire Stake (MASS) eligible Han Solo ($4.20) was bred and is owned and trained by Monique Cohen.

Han Solo will make his first start in the MASS on Monday (Sept. 30). The series starts on Sunday (Sept. 29) and runs through Monday (Oct. 28) when eight divisions will vie in the finals for an estimated $800,000 in total purses.

When racing resumes at Plainridge Park on Thursday (Sept. 12) there will be a $27,005 carryover pool for the Wicked Hi-5 wager in the sixth race. Post time for the first race is 2 p.m.
