The winning streak is now four-in-a-row and counting for Lindy The Great, who front-stepped to a 1:51.4 score in Monday’s $34,000 Preferred Handicap for trotters at Woodbine Mohawk Park.

With Louis Philippe Roy at the controls, Lindy The Great rocketed to the lead from Post 8 and had the field lined up behind him through speedy splits of :26.4, :54.4 and 1:23. He then used a :28.4 closing panel to win by three lengths over Quadrangle. B Yoyo was fourth-placed-third. Dancer Hall was third-placed-fourth for a pylon infraction in the lane.

Sent off as the 4-5 favourite in the nine-horse affair, the five-year-old son of Crazed-Highscore Kemp improved his 2019 record to 5-1-1 from 12 trips to the track with the win. The 13-time winner, who hangs his harness bag in the barn of trainer Domenico Cecere, has banked more than $477,000 for K R Breeding LLC of Connecticut and Robert Rudolph of New Jersey.
