For the second consecutive Sunday, Truro Raceway's leading driver Ryan Ellis reined home five winners on the program.
After finishing second in the first three races, Ellis made it to victory lane with Bernard McCallum trainee Ella Finesse ($3.20) in the fourth dash. His next two victories came in the sixth and seventh races aboard Push Back ($8.40), who dominated his foes to win by 18 lengths for conditioner Dale Pinkney, and the Joseph Green-trained Saulsbrook Quick ($3.40). Ellis wrapped up his five-bagger with back-to-back wins in the ninth and 10th races aboard Island Lexus ($6.30) for trainer Danny Romo and M M Lass ($4.70) for conditioner Hollis White.
Ellis tops the track's drivers standings with 56 victories with his nearest rival, Darren Crowe, trailing by 26 wins. The Brookfield, N.S. resident, who is in the midst of a career year, has won 219 races lifetime while banking $273,027 in purses.
