Sent off as one of the longest shots on the toteboard, Were Rolling rocketed to the lead and didn’t look back en route to posting a 12-1 upset in Thursday’s $7,500 Preferred 3 for trotters at Flamboro Downs.

J.R. Plante fired Were Rolling to immediate command from Post 6 and after throwing down fractions of :29, :59 and 1:27.2 the veteran needed just a :30.4 closing panel to win by 2-1/4 lengths over Order By Commander in 1:58.1. Race favourite Incredable Frank rounded out the Triactor ticket.

Gord Dancetovic trains the 10-year-old son of Dem Speedy Bones-Summer Joy for Bob Dancetovic of Paris, ON. The homebred won for the third time this season and for the 29th time in his career. He’s banked more than $230,000 to date.
