The battle of the free-for-allers rages on as heavyweights Always B Miki, Freaky Feet Pete and Wiggle It Jiggleit are all slated to compete this Saturday night.
Scioto Downs will host the $225,000 Jim Ewart Memorial for older pacers and the $100,000 Chip Noble Memorial for older trotters on Saturday (Sept. 10) as part of a busy Grand Circuit weekend.
Four-year-old male pacer Wiggle It Jiggleit, the No. 1 ranked horse in this week’s Hambletonian Society/Breeders Crown poll, heads to the Jim Ewart Memorial off his victory in the Canadian Pacing Derby last Saturday at Mohawk.
The Clyde Francis trainee is 12-5-2 in 19 starts this season and boasts more than $3.6 million in career earnings for owners George Teague Jr. Inc. and Teague Racing Partnership. He will start from post position eight with Montrell Teague in the bike.
Wiggle It Jiggleit will face a field of nine that includes Always B Miki and Dealt A Winner, who were second and third, respectively, in the Canadian Pacing Derby.
