Classicality was away third when Brian Zendt sent him after the leader, Tall Cotton. The six-year-old Classic Photo-Penn Worthy Lane gelding had nary an anxious moment thereafter, defeating the pocket-sitting Chef Lee by three and three-quarter lengths. The first-over Outburst was third.
Lisa Dunn trains and owns the homebred Classicality, who now boasts a lifetime bankroll of $347,782.
Tony Hall piloted three winners on the 14-race card.
Live racing at The Meadows resumes Saturday, when the card features the $1,208,000 Pennsylvania Sires Stakes Championships for three-year-olds — four $252,000 finals and four $50,000 consolations. First post is 1 p.m.
