After having been shuffled to fifth heading into the final turn, Goodtogo Hanover went on to swing wide and power through the lane before capturing the $15,000 Filly & Mare Winners Over $10,000 Life Trot at the Meadows on Wednesday (September 6).
After having duelled for the early lead, Goodtogo Hanover settled into third for Brian Zendt, but had no hope of finding a seam or the ‘lightning lane’ late. When Zendt showed the four-year-old daughter of Explosive Matter-Grammy Hall a clear path, she caught the rallying Fawn De Savage and downed her by head in 1:55. Early leader Classical Annie finished third.
Phillip Zendt trains Goodtogo Hanover, who extended her career bankroll to $229,457, for Gary Saul.
Live racing at the Meadows will continue with a special holiday-week Thursday card. First post will be 1:05 p.m.
