Christina Takter, one of the top owners in the sport and wife of Hall of Fame driver/trainer Jimmy Takter, will be honoured as the 2014 Lady Pace Honouree during the Grand Circuit meet at the Delaware County Fair.
Mrs. Takter is a native of Sweden and came to the United States in the early 1980s at the age of 19.
Mrs. Takter has co-owned some of the sport’s top performers, including Father Patrick, Shake It Cerry, Corky, Guccio, Pastor Stephen, Uncle Peter, See You At Peelers and the 2014 Hambletonian champion Trixon.
Mrs. Takter takes a major role in the day-to-day operation of the couple’s large racing stable and their farm in East Windsor, New Jersey.
The Takter’s have four children; Tiffany, Jenny, Nancy, and Jimmy Jr.
