Brown Stars At Kawartha

Kawartha Downs' leading driver, Gord Brown, enjoyed a productive evening in Fraserville, Ont. winning half of the program’s 10 races

Brown was quick to begin his winning ways as he took a stroll down victory lane in the opener with Wildcat Mcdonnell (1:57.4) for trainer Charles Hilton. Brown doubled up in the third race with Sa Summers Luck (1:57) for James Madill and was right back in the winner’s circle with the Eric Adams-trained Western Comfort (1:55.2) following the fourth race. The resident of Brighton, Ont. then scored back-to-back wins starting in Race 7 with Holiday Grin (1:56.3) for Brett Riley and Maes Baron (1:59.1) for Brian Magill.

Brown’s five bagger lifted his win total to 216 for the year. The winner of 2,844 races lifetime has earned over $12.7 million in purses.

Driver Reg Gassien scored a driving hat trick on the card.
