The Kindergarten Classic Series for two-year-olds will include a pacing division to go along with the trotting races for 2016. The series originally offered races for both gaits, but dropped the pace after the 2009 season.
Designed to provide races for those freshmen getting a late start or not able to compete at the top level, the Kindergarten events will for the most part be scheduled after the various sires stakes programs have been completed to provide a launching point toward the late season stakes.
Purses will remain at the current $10,000 level for legs with the finals in the six-figure range.
