Outoftexas completed a driving grand slam for Hiawatha Horse Park's leading reinsman Kevin Wallis on the Saturday night meet-closing card with an off-the-pace score in the $14,840 End Of Season Claiming Series Final for colts and geldings.

The seven-year-old Camluck gelding rallied three-wide off cover to win by two and three-quarter lengths over pacesetter Singin Blues and driver Alfie Carroll in 1:54.4. The victory was Outoftexas' 30th lifetime.

Outoftexas was claimed for $4,000 out of the first leg of the series on Sept. 16 by trainer-driver Marty Adler of Amherstburg, Ont. and the pacer finished a close second in the second round on Sept. 22. He has now won five times in 26 2012 outings.

St Lads Andonis won the $7,560 consolation in 1:55.3 by three and a half lengths with Alex Lilley aboard for trainer Victor McMurren.

Returning to the Hiawatha Preferred ranks, Just Crowned prevailed in Saturday's $9,000 Preferred 2 Pace by two and a quarter lengths in a season's best 1:53 with Lilley in the bike for trainer-owner Tony Piroski.
