Mike Hanhan won the final spot in Grand River Raceway’s trio of representatives for the $25,000 TROT Canada National Handicapping Championship
(TCNHC).
Hanhan was one of 30 finalists in the Grand River Raceway Geek Squad Fall Handicapping Tournament on Tuesday evening. The Brantford , ON resident won the final with a hypothetical bankroll of $74.10, marking three winners and two runners-up in the seven-race contest.
Hanhan won $200 for his efforts and will advance alongside previous tournament winners Gary Montgomery and Pat Salter to the TCNHC in Ottawa on November 8.
Grand River ’s next free handicapping tournament, Last Ticket Standing begins Monday, October 5.
