P L Notsonice and driver Ridge Warren won the featured $12,500 Winners Over Trot on Sunday, Sept. 3 at Tioga Downs.
Creekside Pete (Jim Taggert Jr.) marched his way to the quarter first in :27.4 then P L Notsonice took over command with a circuit to go and led to the half in :56.3 and three-quarters in 1:25.2. Andover Contessa (Marcus Miller) went first-up heading to the final turn and kept coming but P L Notsonice dug in and won in 1:53.3 by one length. Andover Contessa had to settle for second money while Cant Say No (Mike Merton) finished back in third.
P L Notsonice is a six-year-old mare by Kadabra. She is owned by Elite Harness Racing and trained by Steven Brabrook. The win was her sixth of the season from 22 starts and she now has 25 career victories. P L Notsonice paid $2.10 to win as the overwhelming favourite in the field of five.
Warren had a driving double while Jim Taggert Jr. led all reinsmen on the day with a grand slam. Marissa Chadbourne had a training double.
