The top pacers return to Red Shores Racetrack and Casino at the Charlottetown Driving Park on Saturday, Sept. 30 for a grudge match on a superb program that also features two-year-old stakes action.

The capital oval has 16 dashes scheduled for a 6 p.m. start with the $3,800 Preferred Pace in Race 14.

Bee Two Bee gets top billing after his last start at Red Shores Charlottetown was a 1:50.1 track record-tying blowout for trainer-driver Jason Hughes and P.E.I. owners Donald MacRae of Vernon Bridge and Blair MacLauchlan of Charlottetown.

The son of Sunshine Beach will have tough company in a field that includes Mantario (David Dowling), Roll Em (Adam Merner), Time To Dance (Ken Murphy), Batterup Hanover (Paul Langille) and Twin B Tuffenuff (Gilles Barrieau).

The "Post Time Picks" predicts Bee Two Bee can keep his win streak alive from post six: “That line two back hops off the page where Bee Two Bee equaled the track record and closed in a snappy :26.4. Draws post six and Hughes knows him best, so we think he’s smiling for the camera again.”

Lady Slipper Gold action for the two-year-old pacing fillies starts off in Race 7 in a $18,800 division with Dusty Lane Dixie the favourite from post two for trainer-driver Barrieau and owner David Lund of Moncton, N.B.

Roll With Joe filly Avyanna is the top selection in her $18,800 Lady Slipper Gold split in Race 9 for trainer-driver Clare MacDonald and owner Hailee Currie of Rocky Point, P.E.I.

The final $18,800 filly Gold division has Chip Of Evil putting her perfect six-for-six career to the test in Race 11 with post two for the team of driver Corey MacPherson, trainer Eddy Doucette and Inarush Stable of Kensington, P.E.I.

The two-year-old fillies also have Lady Slipper Grassroots action in Races 1 and 4.

The Joe O’Brien Memorial Stakes for two-year-old pacing colts has a pair of $21,100 Gold divisions hitting the track in Races 13 and 15.

Jackies Boy is the top selection in the first split in Race 13 for driver Myles Heffernan Sr., and owner-trainer Myles Heffernan Jr., of Summerville, P.E.I. The Tobago Cays colt rides a three-race win streak into the dash.

Merigo Magic also has a three-race streak on the line in Race 15 with Merner driving that son of Tobago Cays from the Melissa Rennie stable for owners Mike May, Herman McQuaid, Ian Walker and Derrick Cameron.

The O’Brien stakes for rookie colts features Grassroots divisions in Race 3 and 6.
