All Day Sunshine retook the lead at the quarter and made short work of the field from there, scoring an easy victory in Wednesday’s (Sept. 29) feature at The Meadows, a $12,000 fillies and mares conditioned pace.
After zipping to the front from post 6, All Day Sunshine briefly released Amelias Courage A. Once the four-year-old daughter of Sunshine Beach and Mustang Kensely reclaimed the lead, she shrugged off the first-over challenge of Anurka and triumphed in 1:52.4 for Brady Brown. Spanish Dream rallied for second, beaten three-quarters of a length, while Anurka saved show.
Paul Corey trains All Day Sunshine, who won for the eighth time this year and lifted her career bankroll to $218,026, for Kenneth Ashba.
Ridge Warren piloted three winners on the 13-race card.
Live racing at The Meadows continues Thursday (Sept. 30), when the 13-race program features a trio of carryovers: $7,479.22 in the final-race Super Hi-5; $1,707.31 in the Early Pick-4 (races 2-5); $1,059.87 in the Pick-5 (races 8-12). First post is 12:45 p.m.
