The wins came early and often for driver Robert Shepherd during Saturday’s 10-race card at Flamboro Downs, and by the end of the night he’d racked up a five-win performance.

Shepherd celebrated his first victory on the evening program with Thats Mia Bad (1:56.4) in Race 2. He then went back-to-back with Oseemylucky Bo (1:57.1) in Race 4 and Better Earl (1:56.1) in Race 5.

He later returned to victory lane with Girl With Attitude (1:58.2) in Race 8 and came right back to capture Race 9 with Ole Jack Magic (1:57.3).

He’s currently in the midst of his sixth straight season of racking up more than $1 million in purse earnings and 13 consecutive seasons with at least 100 wins.

His yearly win total climbed to 230 with the five-win performance and his seasonal purse earnings inched closer to $1.5 million. To date, he’s celebrated 3,603 trips to victory lane while hauling in more than $25 million in purse earnings.
