Jessiejesorjessica was first-over and driving by for an Open Trot score on Thursday evening (Sept. 28) at Red Shores Racetrack and Casino at the Charlottetown Driving Park.
The $3,100 Open Trot had longshot Labero (Gilles Barrieau) spring to the lead and hit the opening station in :28.4 before releasing Incredible Two (Kenny Arsenault) to the lead. Incredible Two tripped the second station in :58.4 then found herself under siege as Jessiejesorjessica and driver David Dowling took dead aim at the lead and marched uncovered on the outside at the third station of 1:28.4. Jessiejesorjessica got up for a half-length decision in 1:59.2 with New Legacy (Adam Merner) sitting last and circling up to finish second while Striking Pride (Jason Hughes) completed the triactor ticket.

The Melissa Rennie stable was hot on the evening, sweeping the final two races with Merner in the seat. Ms Moyse was a 1:58.2 winner in race eight then Woodmere Rollily had the fastest trip of the night in the finale with a 1:56 victory.
Live racing continues Saturday, Sept. 30 at 6 p.m. at Red Shores Charlottetown featuring the Lady Slipper and Joe O’Brien Memorial stakes for two-year-old pacers. Red Shores Summerside races Sunday afternoon with a 1 p.m. opening post with the Lady Slipper for two and three-year-old trotters as well as three-year-old pacing fillies. The three-year-old pacing colts have O’Brien Memorial action as well Sunday in Summerside while the all-stakes card will also see a pair of divisions of the Atlantic Aged Pacing Mares Series presented by Standardbred Canada.
