If you are considering purchasing a yearling or racehorse and would like to learn more about understanding pedigrees, conformation, and the owner-trainer experience, this workshop is for you!
On Friday, October 12, Standardbred Canada will host a Horse Ownership 101 Workshop, in co-operation with The Raceway at the Western Fair District. This will be held in conjunction with the London Selected Yearling Sale at the Agriplex on Saturday, Oct. 13 and Sunday, Oct. 14 and is sponsored by Ontario Racing and Ontario Lottery and Gaming.
Starting at 4:30 p.m. at the Agriplex, the workshop will feature a meet and greet with consignors and yearlings and then there will be a one hour presentation / discussion with Anthony MacDonald from The Stable and Howard Pearce from Landmark Stable. They will provide overviews on the racehorse ownership experience and what you can expect in Fractional Ownership Groups.
Following that discussion, there will be a tour of The Raceway’s Paddock.
For anyone who wishes to stay on for dinner in Top of the Fair, there will be a $10 per person discount on the dinner buffet.
