With victories ranging from the Grand Circuit to Sire Stakes Championships on down to modest claiming races, VIP Stable achieved another milestone Friday with their 1,000th victory.
VIP’s Founder and Managing Partner, Ed O’Connor, was thrilled about Friday’s wins and said, “I want to thank everyone involved in getting VIP to this rare level of success, especially our many trainers and partners over the years! We’ve been involved with a lot of great people since I started VIP in 1999, but I especially want to thank Greg Trotto, who got us our very first win, and John Butenschoen, who has helped us become a factor on the stakes scene. What a great ride.”
Tom Janes, who joined Ed in managing VIP in 2005, added, “Whether it's a stakes event or with a $4,000 claimer, getting to the winner's circle is always a thrill. Having experienced it 1,000 times now is very rewarding feeling.”
Since its founding 1999, VIP Stable has been the most successful racing syndicate in United States harness racing. VIP Stable has led all partnerships in wins for the past five years and has purse earnings over $13.5 million.
