BZ Glide ($6.90) used another impressive charge in the home stretch, posting a :29.0 final panel, and captured his second consecutive win in $8,500 Open Trot in 1:58.2 at Batavia Downs Friday night.
Sitting fifth and third over past the three-quarter pole, BZ Glide and driver Mike Caprio tipped three-wide down the stretch and easily trotted past Glorious Winner (Ray Fisher Jr.) in scoring the half-length victory. Mythical Hall (Ron Beback Jr.) finished in third. Last week, BZ Glide exploded in the stretch and romped to a four length victory.
BZ Glide (Yankee Glide-Bloomer-Zoomer) is a four-year-old gelding owned by Caprio and trained by his wife Alana. He now has five wins in 18 starts and $34,711 in earnings this season and $45,448 lifetime.

A busy night is ahead on Saturday as a 13-race card will get underway at 6:30 p.m. It will be 'Old-Fashioned' Night at Batavia Downs with Sahlen's hot dogs and sodas just 50 cents while draft beer and racing programs will be $1. Fans can also watch and wager on the 'Night of Champions' card from Yonkers Raceway. Yonkers programs will be free.
The feature at Batavia Downs will go as the eighth race where a full field of eight will go to the post in the $8,500 Open Pace. Fireyourguns will open as the 5-2 morning line favourite and will start from the five spot with Mike Caprio in the sulky.
