Grand Circuit stakes trotter Rattle My Cage will stand stud for the 2025 breeding season.

Peninsula Farm and Soderberg Bloodstock LLC announced on Thursday, Sept. 26 that Rattle My Cage 1:50.2 ($642,900) will stand stud at Peninsula Farm of Kentucky in the season of 2025. Foals will be eligible to the Breeders Crown, Kentucky Sire Stakes and the extra bonus for horses sired by Kentucky stallions.

The charismatic son of Love You and Caress The Senses hails from the family of Dancers Crown, who was an undefeated two-year-old and syndicated by Castleton Farm between the two and three-year-old season for a reported $5 million USD. The family also contains the undefeated sister to Caress The Senses, Hillary B R, who raced 15 times and won all 15.

Rattle My Cage was a tough competitor at ages three, four and five, racing at the very top level against the likes of Captain Corey, Alrajah One IT, Ecurie D DK, Its Academic, Jujubee, Dancinginthedark, Cuatro De Julio, Venerate and many others.

Rattle My Cage was a contender in major stakes at three, including the Stanley Dancer Memorial, International Stallion Stakes and Kentucky Championship Series, and was a 1:51.3 winner at The Red Mile.

At four, Rattle My Cage took his lifetime mark of 1:50.2 at The Meadowlands with Sarah Svanstedt in the sulky, making her the fastest woman in the world behind a trotter. This win also made Rattle My Cage the European super sire Love You’s fastest offspring at the time. Rattle My Cage also won a leg of the Graduate Series and the $250,000 final and placed in the Dayton Derby.

As a five-year-old last year, he was second in the Spirit Of Massachusetts, third in the Arthur J. Cutler Memorial, Crawford Farms Open Trot, Maple Leaf Trot, Allerage Farms Open Trot and Breeders Crown, and fourth in the John Cashman Memorial.

Anyone visiting Kentucky during the Grand Circuit racing and sales are welcome to visit the farm and take a look at the stallion.
