Driver Anthony MacDonald was recognized Thursday evening for recently surpassing $25 million in career earnings.
On Sunday evening at Flamboro Downs, MacDonald guided Kate Smith to victory in a $105,000 Ontario Sires Stakes Gold event to surpass the $25 million mark.
On Thursday evening, MacDonald was presented with a sign from Bill McLinchey, Manager of Racing Operations for WEG, recognizing his recent accomplishment after guiding pacer Nine Lives Hanover to victory in the evening’s eighth race.
MacDonald, 37, is a resident of Guelph, Ontario and is in the midst of his tenth consecutive season with over $1 million in earnings and more than 100 victories.
This season, MacDonald has 105 victories and earnings of more than $1.3 million.
