Eric Foster’s Stirling Charisma broke the two-year-old trotting filly track record Thursday at Harrington Raceway when she halted the teletimer in 2:00.2 for driver Eddie Davis Jr.
The previous mark of 2:01 was set by Wonderous Hanover in 2011.
The daughter of Majestic Son-Magic Charm sat a pocket trip behind Irish Sport through panels of :29.4, :59.3 and 1:30.1 before popping out and using a :29.4 kicker to win by a head over that foe. Buttons And Bows was third in the $7,400 conditioned event.
Foster trains Stirling Charisma, who now boasts a 2-1-0 record in eight starts. She paid $21.60.
Jim Morand had the hot hand with four driving wins to close out the week.
