Get Answers' rivals had no response as she went all the way in the $4,450 Fillies and Mares Preferred 2 Pace on Thursday, Sept. 25 at Red Shores Racetrack and Casino at the Charlottetown Driving Park.
She controlled the featured event from the first turn, putting up :28, :57.1, and 1:26.3 fractions for driver Marc Campbell en route to a one-length victory in 1:55. Tobins Brownie (Adam Merner) was placed second while Sugar Bowl (Brady Sweet) was elevated to third after Badgirl Bridgette (Jason Hughes) was placed fourth for interference.
Get Answers, a Lazarus N-Want Answers five-year-old, tallied her 17th career victory in 68 starts and increased her earnings to $283,101. She is trained by Landon Campbell for Brady Doyle of Stratford, P.E.I. and Ryan and Everett MacLeod of Souris, P.E.I.
Marc Campbell had a four-bagger on the 13-race program. He also won with Labero ($3.50) in Race 2 for Donna Van Meer in 2:00.1, Woodmere Flojo ($5) in a 1:56.4 victory in the fifth race for trainer Jamie Smith, and the trotting feature in Race 9 with Buckhead Ridge ($3), who dominated in 1:56.4 for trainer Landon Campbell. His fourth came with Get Answers.
Landon Campbell enjoyed a training double with Buckhead Ridge and Get Answers, while Jennifer Doyle matched the feat, sending out Shake N Blake ($18.60) in Race 8 (1:55.4) in line to Ken Murphy and the veteran Elm Grove Mistress ($2.50) in Race 10 (1:57), driven by David Dowling.
