Herve Filion To Drive At Rideau

Herve Filion has accepted an invitation from Rideau Carleton Raceway and the National Capital Region Harness Horse Association to drive at the Ottawa-area oval on Sunday, October 7.

Filion, a native of Angers, Quebec has spent most of his life living and racing in the State of New York. Herve sits second on harness racing's win list with 15,180 career victories and his lifetime earnings are nearly $90 million.

The night honouring Filion’s illustrious career will feature a meet and greet with fans including an autographed hat signing. The proceeds from the hat sales will go to the Christina Polifroni Scholarship Fund.

In addition, the 72-year-old Hall of Famer teamster will make his first Canadian driving appearance in over a decade.

Herve is a legend in harness racing, I hope lots of people in Ottawa make it out for this event. I wish I were able to see one of the best drivers of all time in person, what an honor.
