Abs Begonia closed from sixth to finish second with K D Dream finishing third. Favourite Pinacle Of Success (Dan Clements), who was looking for a series sweep, was set back early after making a costly break, as was first leg winner Duke Of Wellington (Simon Allard).

Actions By Chip is trained by Mike Lamoureux for owner Philip Newfeld of Toronto, Ont. Unraced at two, the bay gelding improved his record to 4-3-3 in 22 starts lifting his earnings to $25,753.
