David Miller’s Cash On Delivery ($4.80, Vince Copeland) recorded a 1:56 win in the featured $18,000 Open Trot at Harrington Raceway on Wednesday.
Trained by his driver Copeland, the six-year-old Cash Hall gelding received a pocket trip behind pacesetter Spunky Jack throughout fractions of :27.3, :58.2 and 1:27.4. Copeland then steered Cash On Delivery down the passing lane to edge clear of the pacesetter for a half-length win. Powerful Charger gained ground late and was third.
It was the fourth win of the season for Cash On Delivery, and 19th career trip to the winner’s circle for the career earner of more than $300,000 lifetime.
