Delaware Standardbred Breeders Fund (DSBF) stakes action for two-year-olds kicked off the week of racing at Harrington Raceway on Monday, Sept. 23 as a pair of $27,027 divisions for pacing colts and geldings were contested.

Forrest Bartlett’s Primo Maschio ($2.10, Trae Porter) improved to six-for-six lifetime with a 1:54.4 win for trainer Kevin Lare over Lew Not Lou and Won Last Call. The Badlands Hanover gelding never had an anxious moment in his front-end score.

Tlb Racing’s Shore Not Beach ($2.80, Pat Berry) won the remaining division in 2:01.4. The Badlands Hanover gelding was making his first career start and won on the front end over Badlands Boogie and Strange Brew.

In the overnight feature, the $30,405 Free-For-All Handicap Pace, Andrew Glassmeyer’s Sweet Angel Boy ($5, Tony Morgan) was a 1:51.3 winner, after narrowly passing pacesetter Iwannabewithyou in the final strides. Captaincountrystar was third. Sweet Angel Boy won his ninth race of the year in 24 starts for his owner/trainer Glassmeyer and boosted his seasonal earnings over $190,000.

Pat Berry had three wins on the card.

A trio of DSBF divisions for pacing fillies will head the Tuesday, Sept. 24 program as live racing will continue on a Monday through Wednesday schedule until Oct. 23. Post time is 4:30 p.m.
